Lecturer at l’École supérieure d’art et design de Valence, the theorist and writer Lotte Arndt follows artists who question the postcolonial present and blind spots of modernity through texts, conferences and discussions. In 2013 she defended her Phd untitled “Les revues font la culture! Négociations postcoloniales dans les périodiques parisiens relatifs à l’Afrique (1946-2012)” and becomes a research fellow at l’École supérieur d’art of Clermont Métropole. She works closely with the artist and theorist group “Ruser l’image”, publishes on artistic strategies trying to subvert eurocentric narratives and institutions, and co-organizes cultural programs, screenings and debates in both academic and artistic realms.
